Finding Farmland

Organizations that help farm seekers acquire farms and farmland:

• Maine FarmLink is a farm transfer program that connects farmers seeking farmland with farmers and farm owners that are selling, transferring or leasing their farms and farmland. Sue Lanpher: MFT@Mainefarmlandtrust.org, Maine FarmLink Coordinator.
• Land for Good helps farm seekers acquire farms and farmland, farm families transfer farms from one generation or owner to another and landowners make land available for farming.
• American Farmland Trustworks with federal, state and local leaders and communities to develop legislation, implement policies and execute programs that keep farmers on their land and protect our environment.
• Land Trust Alliance provides leadership, information, skills and resources to land trusts.
