Videotapes

If you cannot attend any of above programs, you can earn up to two credits per recertification period for Private and Commercial Operator Applicators and up to three for Commercial Masters by renting and viewing videotapes.

Approved tapes are available from the Penobscot County Soil and Water Conservation District office in Bangor. To earn credit you must request the quiz for recertification when renting the tape; complete the quiz and return it to the Board of Pesticides Control, 28 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0028.

You must score at least 80% on the quiz to receive credit. The quizzes are multiple choice and true/false questions. If you watch the entire video, the quiz should be easy to complete. One credit is given for each hour of video tape viewed.

To rent the tapes contact the Farm Video Center at Penobscot County SWCD at 207-990-3676 (press #3 after the initial recording to get the SWCD). You can also get more information on their Web site.
