A former business owner himself, Brian understands the opportunities and challenges involved in starting and operating a family-owned business. While serving in leadership positions in corporate settings, he developed a keen understanding of business operations including management, human resources, sales, and marketing. A lifelong Maine resident, Brian is committed to helping you grow your business in Maine.
“Every day, I have the opportunity to meet hard-working Maine businesspeople who go through the same trials I experienced as a business owner. The greatest prize is seeing them grow and flourish. Sometimes, I get the bonus of knowing I played a small part in guiding them along the way.
When Albert Carver, Inc., a 3rd-generation lobster and clam processor in Beals, Maine asked me to help facilitate the company’s growth and innovation efforts, I reached out to my University of Maine, Machias contacts. An ongoing internship was established at the company, and grant proposals exploring funding for expansion soon followed.
I am especially proud of my solid working relationship with the Sunrise Economic Development Council, and being part of a positive team approach to DECD business outreach efforts throughout Washington County.”
