- Adult LOCUS - The American Association of Community Psychiatrists (AACP) developed the Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) as a tool to provide mental health clinicians and service providers with a systematic approach to the assessment and determination of the service and support needs of individuals with mental health challenges.
Further questions regarding who can be trained to complete the LOCUS, or any other LOCUS related questions should be directed to the DHHS Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services at (207) 822-0166 or (207) 822-0126.
- PASRR - The
Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) program seeks to ensure that persons
who are otherwise eligible for care in a nursing facility (NF) and who also have
a mental illness or developmental disability receive the additional care necessary
to meet their needs. Persons whose needs for specialized services due to mental
illness or developmental disability are too great for NFs to provide will be referred
to a more appropriate level of care and service.
