100% State Contribution (employee pays nothing: $363.77 biweekly
95% State Contribution (employee pays 5%: $345.58 biweekly
90% State Contribution (employee pays 19%: $327.39 biweekly
85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%: $309.62 biweekly

Brief description of work: Responsible for the protection and safety of visitors at the swimming facilities of a state park including: patrolling the beach, training in physical fitness and swimming, inspecting and taking corrective actions to repair equipment, rescuing swimmers in distresss, repairing and maintaining buildings, cleaning beaches, advising and educating swimmers, and informing the public of park facililities and surrounding areas.

Lifeguard Minimum Qualifications: Seventeen (17) years of age and successful completion of Lifeguard Competency Test.

Licensing/Registration/Certification Requirements: (These must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class). Possession of a current/valid Lifeguard Certification, current/valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification, and current/valid First Aid Certification; and successful completion of the Lifeguard Academy.
