The following parameters have been calculated for the earthquake (this is a preliminary determination):
Further Information:This event was so small that it was imperceptible on the Canadian Seismic Network Hourly plot for 21:00 to 22:00 (UT) on March 15, 2002. Only by careful analysis of the data could seismologists determine the approximate location and size of the event. Nobody reported feeling this earthquake to the Maine Geological Survey. This is not surprising, since earthquakes below magnitude 2 are rarely noticed. Last updated on October 6, 2005 |
