Citizens Take Action For Community Health

Maine Conservation Corps volunteer Becky Kolak is helping the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust work with midcoast communities to address the influence of water quality on shellfish beds, public health, and local economies. The discussion includes an overview of her experience working as a Maine Conservation Corps/AmeriCorps volunteer in the Kennebec Estuary and the challenges, successes, and lessons learned about the value of local citizen involvement.
