Alert and Fitness Tests at MCJA and Off Campus Locations
At MCJA, for the Alert Test, arrive at 0800 hours and PT test will follow. Those taking only the PT Test should arrive at 0900. Starting on August 17, the Phase I Exam will be available each Wednesday or other day that Alerts and PT tests are held and will start at 1300 hours. Lunch is not provided if you are taking the Alert, PT and Phase 1 exam, you should consider bringing a bag lunch.
For those taking the Alert Test at the West Kennebunk Fire Station,(December2013) the arrival time is 12:30 and the Alert Test starts promptly at 1:00 pm.
For 2014 at Southern Maine Community College : The Sustainability and Energy Alternative Center (SEC Center) located at 62 Fort Road (Corner of Fort Rd and McKernan Drive) Room 101. Arrival time for test takers is between 8:00 AM and 8:15AM with testing to begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Use Parking: Lots “JJ” and “B”
Pre-registration is required to take this test and can be made by contacting Jim Birt at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy at 877-8020 or calling the Academy's central office at 877-8000.
Dates and Locations of Alert and PT Testing
SPECIAL NOTE: On Saturday, February 22, 2014, the Alert Test and the Physical Assessment Test (PAT) will be held at the Harold Alfond Center at Saint Joseph's College located at 278 Whites Bridge Road in Standish, Maine 04084. The Alert test will begin at 9:00 A.M. and the PAT will being at 11:00 A.M. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start to complete registration. If you have any questions, please call Lt. All interested in a law enforcement career are encouraged to attend, you DO NOT have to be sponsored by a department to attend this event, all are welcome.
