Career and Technical Education Information
Career and Technical Education Introduction: Training an educated workforce is key to developing a successful and productive economy and society. Career and Technical Education, through its Career Clusters, Pathways, and Programs, empowers students to develop the attributes and skills necessary to become successful citizens, workers, and leaders.
Maine has 27 secondary Career and Technical Education centers and regions that provide students with industry-based 21st Century career and occupational skills and knowledge, as well as pathways to postsecondary education and training.
Maine must ensure that ALL secondary students have the opportunity to access rigorous and relevant Career and Technical Education that trains students for career and academic excellence and prepares them for their future.
