NECAP Test Administration Information
October 2013 Test Information
Test Administration Window: The 2012-13 NECAP test administration window is October 1-23, 2013.
Test Content: The test will include reading and mathematics sessions for students in grades 3 through 8. There will also be writing sessions for students in grades 5 and 8. The test questions are designed to assess the NECAP Grade Level Expectations, which can be accessed by clicking on “NECAP Standards (GLEs)” in the column to the left.

Test Administration Webinar - The NECAP Test Administrator webinar is intended to support the training of educators responsible for administering the NECAP.
Principal/Test Coordinator Webinar - The Principal/Test
Coordinator webinar is provided to prepare for a positive and productive assessment
experience. It is geared specifically toward any school personnel responsible for the
coordination of the NECAP. Topics include roles and responsibilities, test security,
appropriate use of accommodations and procedures for receiving and returning

This sample answer booklet is the copy used at grades 5-8. Grades 3 and 4 booklets are integrated test/answer booklets, so the mathematics response box size varies somewhat, but in general the short answer spaces are slightly bigger than the sample shown. Reading answer boxes are the same size, but the space between lines is bigger, resulting in 15 lines.
