Introduction to Gender Equity in the school and career and technical education setting

The U. S. Department of Education has provided for nondiscrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities receiving or benefiting from federal financial assistance under 34 CFR 106.  Additionally, the State of Maine has provided individuals protection in the Maine Human Rights Act.
