First Lady Seeking Student Art!

First Lady LePage partners with Barbara Bush Foundation to promote healthy minds and bodies among families in Maine.

First Lady Ann LePage announces the Maine is ME Student Art Challenge. Mrs. LePage, in partnership with the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, is hosting the art challenge for Maine students in grades K-8.

Students should submit an original work of art depicting what living in Maine means to you! Artwork may be inspired by a wide range of images from favorite Maine places, outdoor activities, foods and state symbols, as well as families having fun together.

Entries must be post-marked by October 30, 2012 and mailed to:

Selected artwork may be featured in a variety of First Lady projects including her upcoming "Love.Read.Learn!™ Baby Journal", created in partnership with the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. The Baby Journal will promote the importance of families sharing time reading, learning and enjoying a healthy lifestyle together. Selected artists will be notified the week of November 12, 2012.
