Priorities & Accomplishments

A steady decline in Maine's unemployment rate indicates that thousands of Mainers are working again. More than 30,000 jobs have been created since 2011 including jobs under the economic development initiatives this administration has established.

Governor LePage’s Administration has eliminated red tape, cut taxes, reformed welfare, created charter schools, improved Maine’s infrastructure, created new trade relationships and reformed health insurance to lower costs—to name just a few reforms.

Reforming government is hard work, but it is the right thing to do for the Maine people. We will continue to increase job opportunities with good public policy that strengthens economic development, reduces taxes, and retains and attracts people to Maine.
