Peregrine Falcon

Listed as an Endangered Species in Maine, peregrines have made a very good recovery over the last several years. New nesting pairs are reported annually, and chick survival has been good. Look for peregrines in Portland, along the coast – particularly in Acadia National Park, and in mountainous regions of the state.
