The Importance of Species Plans in Maine

The Wildlife Division has developed a comprehensive, "state of the art" approach to managing Maine's wildlife populations to meet society's expectations - a species planning process that is a key component of Maine's Wildlife Action Plan. This section contains species plans for many birds, invertebrates, mammals, and reptiles and amphibians in Maine.
