Boundary Description for the Expanded Archery Season on Deer - Augusta Area
Augusta Area includes towns of Augusta, Farmingdale, Gardiner, Hallowell, and West Gardiner:
Beginning at the intersection of the Kennebec River and Bond Brook in Augusta; west along Bond Brook to Northern Avenue (Route 104); then north along Northern Avenue to the Old Belgrade Road; then northwest on the Old Belgrade Road to I-95; south on I-95 to the intersection with Route 126 in West Gardiner; then east on Route 126 to the intersection with Route 201; then south along Route 201 to its intersection with the Marston Road; then south along the Marston Road to its intersection with the Capen Road; then east on the Capen Road to the Kennebec River; then north along the west shore of the Kennebec River to the point of beginning.
Important Note: Within the city limits of Augusta, you must obtain a permit from the Augusta Police Department in order to participate in the Expanded Archery Deer Season. Bow hunters are encouraged to contact the Hallowell Police Department for information on municipal ordinances affecting the discharge and possession of a bow and arrow in Hallowell.
