May 7, 2009 Maine Warden Service Initiating Search for Missing Pennsylvania Hiker Augusta, Maine - The Maine Warden Service is initiating a search for a Pennsylvania man who reportedly set out to hike north of Abol Bridge in Baxter State Park late last week. The man, who may be in his 40s, reportedly has been missing for several days. His truck has been located on the Appalachian Trail. No additional details are available at this time. The Maine Warden Service is requesting information from the public to assist in its search. Anyone who may know the man’s whereabouts, or anyone who may have spoken to a man who said he was from Pennsylvania while hiking in Baxter State Park between late last week and today, are asked to call the Maine State Police Orono Barracks at 1-800-432-7381. |
