Mr. Brooks, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, left his home at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, and was reported missing by his family at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The Maine Warden Service, Knox County Emergency Management Agency, Union and Hope fire departments, Maine Search and Rescue, Lincoln County search and rescue unit, Maine Search and Rescue Dogs, and two Maine Warden Service aircraft, including one outfitted with a FLIR camera, participated in the search.
