August 18, 2010 Massachusetts man critically injured in ATV incident Augusta, Maine - A 42-year-old Massachusetts man was critically injured when he traveled off a private road on a 4-wheel ATV and struck a tree. The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Hunter Road, a private road off Route 197 in Dresden, according to Maine Warden Service Sgt. Terry Hughes. The man, who is not being identified at this time, was taken by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was not wearing a helmet. Game Warden Doug Kulis responded to the scene. Game Warden Josh Smith and Sgt. Hughes responded to the hospital. |
