May 23, 2012 West Bath - Serious ATV Crash West Bath, Maine - Maine Warden Service is investigating a serious personal injury ATV crash that occurred on Hill Road in West Bath at approximately 5:53 p.m. The 1996 Honda four-wheeler had two occupants and was operated by 38-year old Gifford T. Campbell of Bath; the passenger was 38-year old Krista Gallagher of Bath. Campbell was taken via Life-Flight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for treatment of a serious head injury. Gallagher was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment of head injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet. Investigators are working to determine if speed and alcohol were factors in the accident. Members of the Warden Service Reconstruction Team will reconstruct the scene. The primary investigating officer is Warden Evan Franklin and assisted by Wardens Bob Decker, Tony Gray, and Peter Herring. Sagadahoc Sheriff’s Office had two officers assisting at the scene. Bath Paramedics assisted West Bath First Responders on scene with the injured. |
