Maine Game Warden Honored by Air National Guard
Augusta, Maine – Maine Game Warden Scott Osgood has been named Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year for the Maine Air National Guard.
Warden Osgood was nominated by his commanding officer and the nomination went through a competitive selection process before a Joint Forces Board selected Scott as the successful candidate. He will now represent Maine in the National Competition for Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year.
“Warden Osgood’s recognition demonstrates how good cooperation between state agencies and Maine’s Armed Services Organizations can benefit both the people of the state of Maine and the citizens of the United States, as our dedicated employees protect our valuable freedoms both at home and on the front lines,” said Lt. Dan Scott, Warden Osgood’s immediate supervisor.
Warden Osgood is now completing his 19th year with the Maine Warden Service, a division of the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. He joined the Maine Air National Guard in 1988.Warden Osgood will be recognized at a statewide ceremony in April.
