Parking At The Capitol

On Session days parking at the Capitol is challenging. There are parking lots around the State Office Building and a parking garage at the corner of Capitol and Sewall St. There’s no charge to park in the garage or lots. There is some on-street parking around the State House. Allowing 15 to 30 minutes for parking and walking to the State House is advised.

Handicapped Access to the State House

For those who cannot climb steps there is a ground level entrance at the Cross Office building across from the State House and entry through the tunnel - there is an elevator to your right. 

State House Tours

Free guided tours of the State House are available from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
