John Tuttle has represented the people of Sanford and Springvale in the Maine Legislature for more than 20 years. The 126th Legislature will be his third term in the Senate; he previously served in the Senate in the 112th and 113th Legislatures, and served 11 terms in the House from 1979-2010. In the 125th Legislature, he was the lead House Democrat on the Labor, Commerce, Research and Economic Development Committee. He will now represent the people of Senate District 3 (Alfred, Limington, Lyman, Sanford and Waterboro) in the Maine Senate. An Emergency Medical Technician, Tuttle earned his Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Maine Orono in 1992. He lives in Sanford with his wife and daughter.
