    Senator James M. Hamper is serving his first term in the Maine Senate representing District 13, which includes the Oxford County towns of Brownfield, Denmark, Fryeburg, Hiram, Norway, Otisfield, Oxford, Paris, and Porter and the Cumberland County towns of Baldwin, Bridgton, Harrison, Naples and Sebago.

     

    Senator Hamper received his Associate's Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Maine at Augusta in 2001. He is a carpenter with Bartow Construction. He remains active in his community as a member of the Rock-O-Dundee Snowmobile Club and having served both on the Oxford Budget Committee and on the Oxford Planning Board.

     

    Senator Hamper lives in Oxford with his with Lyn, where they are members of the Oxford Advent Christian Church. They have two children and two grandchildren.
