On November 6, 2012, Senator Garrett Mason was re-elected by the people of District 17 to
represent them in the Maine State Senate. District 17 includes the communities of Lisbon, Sabattus,
Wales, Greene, Leeds, Turner, Livermore, Livermore Falls, Minot, and Mechanic Falls.
Born in Lewiston, Mason was raised in Lisbon Falls by his parents Rick and Gina (Crafts) Mason.
He is a 2003 graduate of Calvary Christian Academy in Turner and a 2006 graduate of Pensacola
Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. He holds a BS degree in Management and Marketing. He has
also completed graduate work at Southern New Hampshire University in Business Administration and
the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Graphic Design.
After college, Mason was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and work for the Portland Sea Dogs, AA
affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. It was there that he fell in love with the world of sports
management. During his time in Portland, Garrett was able to learn how one of the most sucessful
teams in Minor League Baseball (on and off the field) gets the job done.
After his time at the Sea Dogs came to an end, Mason joined the Lewiston MAINEiacs, the only
American member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. After taking over as the teams Public
Relations director for 2 years, he was promoted to Director of Administration, overseeing all day
to day business operations of the club.
Mason currently lives in Lisbon Falls and attends East Auburn Baptist Church in Auburn.
