Ed Mazurek served four terms in the Maine House representing Rockland and Owl’s Head. During his tenure, he sponsored and cosponsored legislation to protect high school athletes from head injuries, improve highway funding, and prohibit texting while driving.

A retired teacher and coach, Mazurek is a graduate of Xavier University with a BSBA degree. He earned his MA from Fairfield University. He is a former member of the Rockland City Council and served as Mayor in 2003 and 2004. He and his wife MaryEllen live in Rockland. They have five children and four grandchildren.
