Training Announcement: Soft Target Awareness

Soft Target Awareness CoursePresented twice daily on December 15th and 16th, and once on Friday, December 17th (see Schedule below)The Soft Target Awareness Course is a four-hour workshop presented free of charge by the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Office for Bombing Prevention. It is designed to provide facility managers, supervisors, and security personnel to receive and share baseline terrorism awareness, prevention, and protection information, and to enhance individual and organizational security awareness. Five sessions are scheduled, each targeted toward a different sector. Each of the five sessions is extremely similar, but wherever possible, attendees are encouraged to register for the sector most similar to their individual workplace. This is not mandatory, but doing so will lend itself to a greater interaction during the breakout sessions with participants that share similar responsibilities. Those unable to attend their first choice, will still benefit greatly by attending any of the other four. Sectors addressed in this program include:
Each four-hour session is limited to 35 participants. We ask that you register as soon as possible and select the session that you wish to attend, along with your second and third preferences. Confirmations will be sent by e-mail to the first 175 registrants. Schedule:
