Deadline Nearing for FY 2006 Homeland Security Grant Funds

Applications for FY 2006 Homeland Security Grants in Maine are due to County EMA offices by Friday, October 13, 2006. Eligible applicants are city and county governments, and associated public facilities.

A lower level of Homeland Security grant funding has necessitated a narrowing of grant criteria. Officials are urged to read the guidance carefully before submitting applications.

Applications must be submitted in electronic format to County EMA offices by Friday, October 13, 2006.

Town officials should contact their County EMA office or MEMA for more information on the grant process or if they need assistance with filling out grant forms.
