New Training Announcement: ICS/EOC Interface Course (G191)

Couse Information:The Maine Emergency Management Agency will be conducting the FEMA training program Incident Command System, Emergency Operations Center Interface Course. This 1 day course will address the Incident Command System (ICS) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) relationship, capabilities and limits of both systems, key players, communications systems, resources, planning programs and logistical assistance. This course is part of the Maine Basic Emergency Manager Recognition program. The course will help Students bridge the gap between an on-scene Incident Commander and the EOC. Training will focus on the teamwork and mutual respect necessary to conduct concurrent operations. When:
Course Location:The course will be held at the Somerset County EMA building located at 8 County Drive, Skowhegan, ME. Class may move to the Skowhegan Community Center so check before day of program. Class will run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Breaks and lunch will be provided. All other expenses are the responsibility of the student. Target Audience:All command level emergency responders and personnel responsible for operations at the local or county emergency operations center. All students should have completed the NIMS ICS 200 (Basic) prior to taking the course. Local ICS/EOC teams are encouraged to attend. Mike Grant from MEMA will serve as primary instructor.
