Updated Shellfish Harvesting Closure Information
April 23, 2007
The Department of Marine Resources announces that the statewide flood closure has been reduced in size. The following area remains closed: All of the shores, flats and territorial waters of the State of Maine are closed east of a line at Small Point (Phippsburg) AND west of a line at Bay Point (Georgetown) AND west of a line across the Sasanoa River at the Woolwich/Arrowsic bridge AND west of a line across the Back River Arrowsic/Georgetown bridge. All pre-existing pollution and Red tide/ PSP closures remain in effect. Several conditional areas remain closed at this time also.
