Knox County Accepting Applications for County EMA Director Position

Knox County is accepting applications for the position of County Emergency Management Director until November 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm.

Long-time Knox County EMA Director Sylvia Birmingham has announced her retirement after 21 years with the Agency.

County EMA Directors coordinate preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation efforts in their Counties, working closely with local officials. They also coordinate with federal and state officials, and other County departments.

Application forms and job descriptions are available in the lobby outside the county administrative offices at the Knox County Courthouse, 62 Union Street, Rockland and on line at http://knoxcounty.midcoast.com Applications must be received no later than Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
