This committee will meet July 22 & 23 to review and score applications.
In the spring, MEMA and other state agencies worked with FEMA officials to review communications capabilities across the state. This initiative was a requirement of all FEMA regions. The objective was for FEMA to clearly understand what capabilities exist, which are critical and what the State of Maine might need from FEMA in a disaster. Two areas that were clearly identified were: Radio Technicians/Tower Technicians Mobile Towers
Over the last several months, the PSIC Training Team has worked hard to develop a communications training curriculum that will be available in several mediums.
MEMA would like to thank Chiefs Kevin Guimond and Ken Stackpole for their participation in making the Communications DVD such a success!!!
MEMA would also like to thank Dave Duehring for all the time and effort he gave us during his few months here. We would never have been able to get this program off the ground in the timeframe we had, without a dedicated resource. We wish him the best of luck in the future!
