Roads Treacherous in Inland Areas this Morning

From the Maine Department of Public Safety at 10:30 am:

"Troopers inland say icy roads have made travel treacherous. Many plow trucks have been having difficulty getting sand and salt on the roads until temps warm up during the day. Motorists need to be extra cautious or delay travel until later in the day"

Many County EMAs are also reporting extremely dangerous local driving conditions.

Freezing Rain Advisories in the NWS Gray Forecast area have been extended until 1:00 pm today.

Freezing Rain advisories in NWS Caribou forecast area are in place in some areas until 3:00 pm.

Please heed these warnings and delay travel until later in the day.
