Dover Foxcroft Holds Tabletop Exercise

July 21, 2009

On July 21, 2009, a tabletop exercise took place at the Dover Foxcroft Town Office. Participants included the staff of the town office, Dover Foxcroft Police Department, Piscataquis County Emergency Management Agency, and Maine Emergency Management Agency. This tabletop was to discuss plans and protocols in the event of a disturbance at the town office during business hours.

MEMA, Piscataquis EMA, and Dover Foxcroft Police designed the discussion based exercise. Several photos have been uploaded to MEMA's page on Facebook.

The staff recognized some improvement issues as a result of the exercise. There is a need for surveillance equipment throughout the facility. Also, plans were made to properly alert the police department.
