7 New CERT Members Graduate

December 28, 2009

There are 7 new Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members who recently graduated a class conducted by the Androscoggin Unified Emergency Management Agency. The members started their training early in the fall, which was led by KC Putnam. The graduation was held on December 22, 2009.

The members completed 9 modules of training which is outlined by FEMA. In all, they dedicated more than 20 hours of their time to complete this course. These members have a particular interest in the Community Animal Response Team (CART), however they are all trained to assist in any emergency.

Several photos have been uploaded to MEMA's page on Facebook.

For more information on becoming involved in CERT, contact the Maine Emergency Management Agency or your County Emergency Management Director.
