Terry Kenniston has been selected for the position of Sr. Technical Support Specialist in Network Services' Desktop Support Services group effective April 20, 2001.
Elizabeth Hunt has been selected for the position of Cartographer (GIS) in Development Services' GIS group effective April 30, 2001.
Michael Berube has been selected for the position of Systems Analyst in Development Services' Database group effective May 21, 2001.
Jon Rice has been selected for the permanent position of Cartographer within Development Services' OGIS group effective May 14, 2001.
Jacob Cotnoir has been selected for the position of Stores Clerk in Shipping and Receiving effective May 29, 2001.
Mary Silva and Don Hildebrand have accepted the positions as Information Technology Management Analysts. Judy Beloff accepted the administrative secretary position.
Mary Silva comes back to Maine State Government from Associated Grocers (AG) where she led their IT functions as Director of Information Systems. Prior to AG, Mary was IS Systems Division Manager for the State. Mary also spent 10 years with Digital Equipment Company culminating as their Information Management and Technology Manager. Mary accepted the IT management analyst position with the accessibility focus. She will spend about half of her time making sure that our systems are accessible to both state employees and the public. Mary's public and private experience will prove very useful in her new role. Mary started Monday, April 23.
Don Hildebrand comes from Thomas College teaching both Graduate and undergraduate Computer Science courses and the City of Waterville, as their Information Services Officer. Prior to this, Don was Director of Telecommunications and Information Systems and principal technology advisor to the Commanding General of the Marine Corps base at Quantico. Don's leadership experience and technical ability will make him a great resource to this office. Don started Monday, April 30.
Judy Beloff comes from the Bureau of the Budget where she was acting administrative secretary. Previously Judy worked for the Maine Revenue Service as a Clerk Typist III. Judy's experience in legislative tracking, report compilation at the Bureau of the Budget, combined with her high energy level, will complete the team. Judy started May 1.
