Bureau of Financial Institutions

The Bureau will be closed on Monday, April 19, 2010 in observance of Patriots Day. The budget for Maine State Government requires all executive branch Departments, Agencies and Offices to also be closed on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.  Many services offered by the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation are always available at www.maine.gov/pfr.

 

NOTICE OF ADDRESS CHANGE

The physical address of the Bureau has changed from 124 Northern Avenue to 76 Northern Avenue, Gardiner, Maine 04345. For express deliveries by couriers other than U.S. Postal Service, please send to this new address. Please continue to send all U.S. Postal mail to 36 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0036.

The Bureau of Financial Institutions supervises all state-chartered financial institutions including banks, credit unions, and nondepository trust companies.
