The named insured requested a hearing to contest the nonrenewal of a homeowners policy for combustibles near the woodstove and furnace, and unrepaired water damage. 

Held: For the insured. 24-A M.R.S. § 3051 allows nonrenewal of a homeowners policy for a reason that is in good faith and related to the insurability of the property. The insured demonstrated that the combustibles near the heating fixtures had been removed; they had been noted by the company in early September when the units were not in use. The company failed to establish how the unrepaired damage affected the insurability of the property.
