Respectfully represents Winborn Adam Wiggins Jameson, that he is extremely dissatisfied with the dimensions of his present name. It is as long, cumbersome useless as an old-fashioned queue. It has three more Capitals in it than has any Nation under the Sun. One part of it is somewhat older than our Grandmother Eve herself. For these and various other reasons which perhaps it is unnecessary to state particularly, your Petitioner prays that he may be allowed to drop this uncouth appendage to his family name, and in lieu thereof to take the name of Charles, and as in duty bound will every pray.
