National History Categories and Awards
All entrants receive a certificate acknowledging participation. Other prizes/recognition may be awarded. The top two winners in each category qualify to participate in the National History Day finals in June at the University of Maryland. Each Division (Junior, grades 6-8; Senior, grades 9-12) offers eight contest categories:
