Write-in Candidate Procedures

A person whose name does not appear on the ballot may be elected to an office if the person files a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy no later than 45 days prior to the election. A write-in candidate must fulfill all qualifications for the office sought. Further information is available in the Write-in Candidates Guide provided below.

The filing deadline for the November 6, 2012 General Election is Monday, September 24, 2012.
