Secretary of State Charles E. Summers, Jr. Creates Twitter Account: MaineSecOfState

AUGUSTA, MAINE –Secretary of State Charles E. Summers, Jr. has recently created a Twitter account, MaineSecOfState, in order to more closely interact with Maine citizens.  Twitter is a social networking website that allows users to share information in 140 characters or less.  Many celebrities, politicians and news organizations use Twitter to share thoughts, articles, updates and other information.

Secretary Summers will use the Twitter account as a vehicle for quickly and succinctly alerting followers of news as it pertains to the Department of the Secretary of State including the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the Bureau of Corporations, Elections, and Commissions, and the Maine State Archives.
