The Commission provides guidance and information to the public on a variety of technical issues and details related to historic preservation. The following assistance among those available to municipal officials, state and federal agencies, historic homeowners, museums, commercial property owners and managers, etc. throughout Maine:
- Information and advice on a variety of maintenance, preservation, restoration and rehabilitation topics;
- Lists of architects, engineers, conservators, consultants and contractors who have demonstrated experience and expertise in completing work in accordance with the Standards;
- Documentation of historic properties (when available) to help inform decision-making.
